OUR STAFF

Brian Preslopsky

Brian Preslopsky, Senior Staff Associate, is an economist with a strong background in econometrics, finance, business economics, and statistical analysis. He has extensive experience in regulatory economics, including auditing Federal Reserve Banks on enforcement of Federal Reserve regulations and analyzing the economic impact of motor carrier regulations promulgated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Mr. Preslopsky’s skills extend to a wide spectrum of technical and software applications, including econometric modeling in SAS, SPlus, Eviews, Gauss, Rats, and Stata. He is currently supporting Econometrica’s efforts on behalf of the FMCSA, including analyzing the economic impact of FMCSA’s initiatives in the areas of safety and compliance by new interstate motor carriers; registration and inspection rules for intermodal container chassis used by motor carriers; and requirements for electronic onboard recorders for commercial drivers. Mr. Preslopsky holds an M.A. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Missouri.
