| Every project benefits from our staff's depth of knowledge, broad range of skills, and professional and educational backgrounds. | OUR STAFFBrian PreslopskyMr. Preslopsky is an economist with a strong background in econometrics, statistical analysis, transportation safety, business economics, macroeconomics and finance, and Federal banking and securities laws. Mr. Preslopsky currently conducts transportation safety research under a contract to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Among these studies, he reevaluated the societal costs of large-truck and bus crashes by referencing multiple sources of government data. He has often worked directly with senior-level Agency and Office and Management and Budget staff, briefing them on the economic impacts of policy decisions or regulations. Previously, Mr. Preslopsky designed and managed field data collection for the 2004 Survey of Consumer Finances, a comprehensive national survey of households published by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. He also managed the Board’s collection of bank deposit data; in this role, he led training seminars attended by Federal Reserve System staff and bankers on accounting principles and data reporting requirements. His past economic research experience has been in the areas of macroeconometric modeling, interbank lending, forecasting, and financial analysis. His skills extend to a wide spectrum of technical and software applications, including SAS. Mr. Preslopsky holds an M.A. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Missouri. He is currently completing an M.A. in Literature at Georgetown University.
