Cheryl Fox

Cheryl Fox has more than 15 years of experience in housing and urban development issues, including serving as Advisor and Counsel at high levels of the U.S. federal government. She was formerly Issues Advisor to the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, and Counsel to the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Housing and Urban Affairs. Her housing expertise encompasses a broad range of policy and program issues, including fair housing and fair lending law, community development policy, neighborhood renewal strategies, budget development, program reformulation, and public policy dispute resolution. She is currently serving as Project Manager for Econometrica's support and assessment of HUD's Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. The HCV program is the federal government's major program for assisting very-low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Ms. Fox is working with HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) to improve the quality of the HCV program by assisting in the development, implementation, and improvement of quality-assurance processes, procedures, and guidance. This includes providing analysis and automated management tools for improving financial controls and managing data. Ms. Fox holds a B.A. degree in History from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
