BrittonSince 2007, Mr. Britton has assisted Econometrica with economic research and analysis for its clients. These include the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. Representative projects include developing an industry database for, and supporting cost-benefit analyses of, proposed rules pertaining to the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of natural gas and hazardous liquid pipelines; restructuring the structure of the American Housing Survey; and cataloguing State data collection methods for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Before joining Econometrica, Mr. Britton was a coauthor on two editions of The Digital Economy Fact Book and conducted econometric and background research on the electricity and telecommunications industries for the Progress and Freedom Foundation. Mr. Britton holds an M.A. in Economics from the John Hopkins University, with a focus on macroeconomics and economic development. At Hopkins, he served as a research assistant and as President of the Economics Graduate Student Organization. In addition, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina, with a B.S. in Business Economics and a B.A. in International Studies. Mr. Britton is multilingual and proficient in Stata, SAS, and EViews econometric software.
