HEALTH

Planning, evaluation, and analysis services
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality

Under a master contract with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Department of Health and Human Services, Econometrica is providing planning, evaluation, and other types of quantitative and qualitative analytical services under a series of task order contracts. Several of these task orders involve projects supporting the Agency's effort to determine what health care data are collected and available to inform policymakers, clinicians and consumers. Thus far, we have been asked to:

  • • Comprehensively inventory health care data collection initiatives throughout the United States and provide guidance to AHRQ on how the data might be used to inform Federal, State, and local health care policymakers, clinicians, and consumers.
  • • Conduct an environmental scan and support an expert panel meeting on the use and effects of health risk appraisals in primary care settings.
  • • Assist AHRQ in development of a national strategy on quality measurement and associated data collection; provide guidance on the areas in which AHRQ can make the greatest contribution in the field of quality measurement; and identify the roles it should undertake regarding measurement and data development.
  • • Provide an inventory and analysis of CHIPRA-relevant data measures in use by Medicaid and CHIP programs.
  • • Create an inventory of tools that are available to run on all-payer, all-claims (APAC) data, followed by development of a standardized set of tools that work with available APAC data sets.
